Pretoria "Bucket List"

Justin and I worked out that we only have ten weekends left in Pretoria – WOW that’s scary. So we have decided to make a “Bucket List” of all the things we want to do before we leave.
This is what we have come up with so far:
1. Godfathers – this we can cross off our list soon, we made  a booking for this evening. Looking forward to a good bottle of wine and great food shared with awesome friends.
2. Mr. Bojangles – a burger place in Midrand
3. Sandton Sun
4. Rosebank rooftop market – our favorite Sunday outing
5. Irene Market – brings back childhood memories, need to experience it one last time.
6. Karoo Lifestyle Centre
7. Irene Dairy Farm – I have lived in Pretoria for ten years and have never been – so shocking
8. Hazel Food Market
9. A picnic at the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens
10. And to spend as much time as possible with our friends and family.

Say Cheese...

I thought I would share some photos from our engagement session. I’m so excited they turned out great – which is very surprising considering how awkward we both are in front of a camera. Thanks so much to Carolien from Carolien and Ben photography for taking such amazing pictures. We wanted the photos to represent who we are as a couple so we went to Bell Bottoms in Queenswood – a lovely vintage store filled to the brim with quirky treasures. Justin and I have been regulars at this shop since our varsity days. Then we moved on to Duncan Yard – it’s amazing how beautiful the pictures came out, one would never say they were taken in Pretoria.

Getting a move on

It’s been a while since my first post; need to start working on blogging more often. Things have been completely crazy with trying to plan a wedding, move to Cape Town, starting our own business and still trying to work a normal nine to five. But I think it’s safe to say that things seem to be calming down. I’m busy trying to finish the last few DIY elements to our wedding. We got our engagement shoot photographs which are amazing. We have set an official moving date – which is extremely exciting and at least we have a timeline. We know exactly what needs to be done and by when. We also found the most amazing place to stay in Stellenbosch for three months while we try look for a house. So excited to be staying at the beautiful Rivierbosch cottage. This has to be one of the most spectacular cottages I have ever seen, I love all the décor elements and we are very excited to start our new adventure. I will post some pictures as soon as we move
